"KEEP THE STARS AND STRIPES FLYING!"
Balkan Township wants to keep the stars and stripes flying at the
new Balkan Community Center and is asking interested readers to help
by donating money toward the purchase of a new flag. These new flags
will be flown when a replacement flag is needed. Our new American
flag costs $80.00 and our new Minnesota flag, hanging below, costs
$60.00. If anyone is willing to donate the cost of a new flag to
the community, their name will be added to a list of flag donations
on our Balkan Township Web Site and be noted on the bulletin board
at the community center. Donated flag can be dedicated to the memory
of a loved one. Interested people can contact the Balkan Township
office at 218-254-3967.
